Tickets are standard cinema price;

i.e £8.20 adults, £7 students etc

The film has been rated a 12A, so feel free to bring the family.

There will be three other films showing on the night including a short film by Guillermo Arriaga, writer or Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel. Guillermo is very excited that we are showing his film and supports our cause.

ONE LITTLE DIFFERENCE…..Last year we had people asking if there was an afterparty, so we have organised one.

The afterparty will be in Huddersfield Town Centre at the LITTLE BUDDHA BAR (HD1 5DL). This is a 5 minute drive from the cinema and directions will be given on the evening. There will be live music and even if it’s not your ‘cup of tea’ it’d be great to meet you all, have a chat and network.

The filming for Against the Norm was amazing. I could tell from the beginning we had an amazing crew and cast as everybody on the day of rehearsals greeted me by saying they loved my script. This for me is very important. To work on a film and enjoy it, first of all you must like the script and then the director and most of all, the team. I feel that we had all these components to make a very successful film.

I could tell from looking around me that the crew we had assembled were too in many cases, Against the Norm. The crew was made of Black, Caucasian, Asian, Gay, Lesbian and many different nationalities from around the world. This for me was the beauty of the film. The actual message from the script had jumped from the page not only onto the screen but also into our set. I believe the idea of not conforming to the norm was a huge factor for when some of the crew accepted their roles.

I look forward to seeing our film and the trailer should be released very soon.

The film is currently in pre production and is scheduled to begin filming in September. The team is curently looking for :

It was a very cold and windy day today at Castle Hill, Huddersfield, UK. But Neil Spaxman (camera) and myself battled through the cold and wind to make my kick starter video to raise funds for my new project “The Trey Fields Affair”.

Keep an eye on the site for the full video later in the week once it’s edited up. It may be a long job, it took many takes

Thanks to the staff at Castle Hill for allowing us to film.

All the money raised was donated to the NSPCC and The Variety Children’s Charity. The premiere raised £1030.75.

Iqbal plans to organise a similar event for the premiere of THE TREY FIELDS AFFAIR with the help of Odeon cinema.
